Sex and Rope by NJ Parkin
Sex and Rope was conceived in the last century by artist NJ Parkin. The artwork was created using MicroDry technology manufactured by the Japanese ALPS Corporation, Tipp-Ex correction fluid, Mellotex paper and images scanned from a Japanese bondage magazine published in the last century.
The concept for 'Sex and Rope' was to create an inoffensive piece of artwork containing explicit Kinbaku images. The bondage imagery is almost hidden - therefore not easily identifiable by whoever views this digital collage.
The obvious clues to the artwork's subject matter are the Japanese Kanji and Hiragana characters depicted in the piece, spelling the words 'Sex and Rope'. However, very few people outside of Japan can read and understand what is written.
